HOW IS IT PROCESSED/MANUFACTURED?
Brown Algae (Macroalgae) is an extract of macroalgae cells in the lifecycle of the Brown Algae. The cells only live for a few weeks in the ocean, before taking a different form. They are unstable in the ocean & not available in large quantities. Culturing of these cells, a rare & precious type of macroalgae cells, in the laboratory, is a World First for cosmetic applications. It is cultured in a Photobioreactor.
WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT IT?
Brown Algae (Macroalgae) contains tannins, which absorb certain UV light to act as an antioxidant and free-radical fighter. It can also improve the skin’s collagen quality and also lighten the skin. As well as this it also has fucoidan, which can help with healing and inflammation by protecting elastic fibres in the skin from breaking down over time. It is also famed for its moisturising benefits, studies have shown that Brown Algae (Macroalgae) can even outperform Hyaluronic acid (HA) in terms how much water it absorbs and then retains over time.
